Mechanical closure of the vocal cords with the Airway Management Device.
EditorÐWe were interested to read O'Neil's correspondence in reference to the case report by Brimacombe and colleagues. Brimacombe and colleagues claim that the Airway Management Device (AMDÔ) cannot cause cord closure and still form an effective seal in the hypopharynx. We would like to share our experience in using the recently introduced AMDÔ that has design modi®cations claimed to prevent g...

determinant of the hankel matrix with binomial entries
abstract in this thesis at first we comput the determinant of hankel matrix with enteries a_k (x)=?_(m=0)^k??((2k+2-m)¦(k-m)) x^m ? by using a new operator, ? and by writing and solving differential equation of order two at points x=2 and x=-2 . also we show that this determinant under k-binomial transformation is invariant.
15 صفحه اولRole of the Internal Superior Laryngeal Nerve in the Motor Responses of Vocal Cords and the Related Voice Acoustic Changes
Background: Repeated efforts by researchers to impose voice changes by laryngeal surface electrical stimulation (SES) have come to no avail. This present pre-experimental study employed a novel method for SES application so as to evoke the motor potential of the internal superior laryngeal nerve (ISLN) and create voice changes. Methods: Thirty-two normal individuals (22 females and 10 males) par...
